Woman critically hurt in Elkhart hit & run case

ELKHART, Ind.— A 54-year-old woman is in critical condition after Elkhart police say she was hit by a vehicle late Friday night.
Investigators say it happened near the intersection of East Bristol Street and Brookwood Drive shortly after 11 p.m.
They say the suspect vehicle is possibly a Nissan.
The driver left the scene of the accident.
They believe the car may have front end damage, and possibly damage to the windshield as well.
The woman who was injured has not been identified.
