SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- South Bend Police confirm that they responded to a shot spotter activation around 11:20 PM Wednesday night in the 1200 block of West Washington Street.
There police found a 35-year-old woman, Takarra Anderson, who was shot in the abdomen while inside her home. You can visibly see two bullet holes in the siding of her home where one of those bullets hit Anderson.
Neighbors who were to afraid to speak on camera tell ABC57 that Anderson was merely setting her alarm for the morning when one of the estimated 8 shots fired hit her.
Her juvenile son was at home with her but was not injured.
A neighbor who was nearby when the incident occured says that she saw a car slowly drive by with three males and a single female driving. She dropped off one male in front of the house, then one off in the back, then shots were fired.
Thankfully family members said that Anderson is doing okay.
