Woman arrested after alleged domestic stabbing

MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. -- The Michigan City Police Department announced a 38-year-old woman has been arrested for Aggravated Battery following reports of a stabbing in a domestic dispute Tuesday after midnight.

The suspect, Nicole Williams, has been arrested for Aggravated Battery as a Level 3 Felony and Domestic Battery - With a Deadly Weapon as a Level 5 Felony.

Around 12:12 a.m. Tuesday, officers responded to a residence in the 500 block of Pearl Street after reports of a stabbing during a domestic dispute.

When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from serious bodily injuries and provided life-saving measures. He was taken to Franciscan Health Hospital for treatment.

Officers then located and arrested Williams before executing a search warrant at the residence and allegedly finding unspecified evidence.
