In the United States, 1 in 3 women have experienced some sort of physical violence by an intimate partner.
According to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, nearly 43% of Hoosier women and 28% of Hoosier men will experience some form(s) of domestic violence in their lifetimes.
Local help is available, including the YWCA of South Bend where they are assisting victims of domestic violence get back on their feet.
Advocates are available to chat 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
