14-Year-old found murdered in Armada, Mich.

ARMADA, Mich. --- Michigan State Police are investigating the murder of a 14-year-old girl whose body was discovered in the woods.

The body of 14-year-old April Millsap was discovered Thursday night.  

Joggers were led to her body by the young girl's dog. 

"The dog actually protected her body; stayed with her body. The dog was still there, so that made the people curious and wanted police to go out and investigate further," said Armada Police Chief Howard Smith. 

According to Michigan State Police, Millsap was walking her dog and never returned home.

A white or gray box van was seen circling the area where her body was discovered.

Police are now searching for that van, along with the two white males they believe were inside.
