18-year-old Elkhart man found shot dead near pond

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- The Elkhart City 911 Communications Center received a call May 25 at 9 p.m. for a shooting that occurred around the 1000 block of Portsmouth Drive.
The Elkhart City Police Department arrived at the scene where 18-year-old Travelle Moore was found near a pond and was pronounced dead at the scene.
This is an active and on-going investigation with the Elkhart County Homicide Unit and no arrests have been made at this time.
