SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Two people were rushed to the hospital after their car crashed head-on into a tree.

It happened around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday on Sunnyside and Belmont Avenue in South Bend.

Police said both the male driver and the passenger were trapped inside and had to be cut out of the 2000 Lincoln Continental by firefighters.
