Man arrested in Van Buren County after SWAT team uncovers drugs, sawed-off shotgun, unlicensed dogs

VAN BUREN COUNTY, Mich. -- A 45-year-old man in Van Buren County has been arrested after a SWAT raid uncovered drugs, weapons, and more.

The raid happened yesterday, April 9. Detectives located multiple controlled substances, digital scales, packaging materials, and several firearms. The majority of the narcotics were concealed within a hidden compartment inside a bedroom wall. Detectives recovered approximately 10 grams of methamphetamine.

Detectives were unable to locate serial numbers on the firearms at the scene, including a sawed-off shotgun. Investigators also discovered dogs determined to be unlicensed.  Animal Control also noted they have received numerous prior complaints about those dogs.
