80-Year-old graduates from high school

FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- An 80-year-old from Fort Wayne finally received his high school diploma.

Leroy Blessing missed his chance to graduate because of World War II.

A Fort Wayne lawmaker passed a bill that allows vets who dropped out of school for the military to get their high school diplomas.

Leroy said even though he waited six decades, he is glad he did it.

He said he enjoyed hearing about things in his history classes that he had already experienced in real life.
