Temperatures rise and clouds increase Friday and Saturday. A strong cold front will finally bring soaking rain to the area. The rain will impact much of the weekend and the Notre Dame / USC football game. A line of showers is likely be late afternoon Saturday. Lightning is possible, which would be a hazard to fans and a possible delay in the start of the game. Additional rain is likely during and after the game. Much of the heaviest rain is expected early Sunday morning, Sunday is wet, breezy and much cooler. Next week will be mostly dry and cooler, with highs in the 50s.

Saturday: Showers. High 74.
