ABC57 First Warning Neighborhood Weather Forecast
Saturday, March 14, 2025
Enjoy the quiet start to the week weekend—active weather returns tomorrow. Light snow will arrive in the late afternoon - early evening hours. Tonight temperatures will fall to the 40s under cloudy skies.
Sunday brings warmer conditions with highs making a run at the 70s, accompanied by gusty winds. A Wind Advisory will be in effect beginning SUN at 11AM through midnight MON. Sustained southerly winds will reach 20-25 mph, with gusts upwards of 45 mph. Sunday evening through overnight is where things get messy (7PM - 1AM). A line of shower and storms arrive overnight, with the primary threat being strong, damaging straight-lines winds. While the chance for tornadoes is low, it can't be totally ruled out.
A very strong cold front follows the line of storms, bringing Michiana a cold blast from the past. Temperatures fall to the low 30s and upper 20s by Monday morning, with 3 inches or more of snowfall in the Lake Effect snow region (SW Michigan, greater South Bend area). Areas further south of the lake receiving less, around 1-3 inches.
Snow chances will linger into Monday and Tuesday. Slick, slushy roads are a concern for Monday night through Tuesday, as temperatures continue to fall to the teens. Winds will likely cause low visibility and expect bitter cold wind chills to start the week. After another round of light snow Wednesday morning, conditions become much calmer and highs become more mild.

Sunday: Cloudy, warm, windy (gusts up to 50mph), evening storms. High 68.
