A.J. Wright to fund South Bend $3.2 million

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – A.J. Wright is giving the city of South Bend $3.2 million.

It's all because the company left South Bend too early. They opened in 2004, but had to close its doors saying the profits just weren't there.

The first check was worth $354,000. The rest of the money will be paid annually until 2019.

A.J. Wright is one of the largest retail outlets in the nation.
