SOUTH BEND, Ind. - An estimated over 1,000 kids and adults attended Cops and Goblins at Four Winds Field on Tuesday for a safe family-fun start to Halloween festivities.
For South Bend Police Captain Kyle Dombrowski, who help organize the event, Cops and Goblins was a great way for him to interact with the community.
"It's another way to break down those barriers to have that you know that police community interaction, especially with our youth, right, and that's the biggest thing is a community policing and working together," said Capt. Dombrowski.
With over 120 vendors, Dombrowski says this is the largest Cops and Goblins there's ever been, running out of free tickets two weeks before the event.
"We couldn't expect better weather tonight and it's just been a great turnout," he said.
