GRANGER, Ind. -- On Saturday, Jan. 24, a food drop took place at Granger Community Church, through a partnership with IRBN Foods, Lippert Components, Food Bank of Northern Indiana, and BluSky Restoration Services.
Volunteers began arriving at 9 a.m. and one of the two locations, GCC Granger and GCC Elkhart.
All of the food supplies will support over 6,400 families by going to 16 local food pantries, three homeless shelters, and ten neighborhoods across Michiana.
Ted Bryant, Lead Pastor at Granger Community Church, stated, "People will decorate the box with all kinds of encouraging phrases or scripture, because we know that one of the things we get over and over after the food drops is people appreciate the box."
