Possible sinkhole under repairs on South Main and Garst Street

South Bend Police Department SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The South Bend Police Department says there may be a small sinkhole around S. Main Street and Garst Street. The department advises the public to avoid the area while repairs continue.
During the repairs, Garst Street will be closed between Michigan Street and Lafayette Boulevard. As well, the northbound lane between Sample Street and Stull Street.
