SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The annual Gifts of Light event happened Saturday at the Potawatomi Zoo.
A light show of some kind is a long-standing tradition at the Zoo, which began working on setting up attractions right after their Zoo Boo event ended in October.
The Gifts of Lights features dozens of different lights displays, ranging from animals, to wreathes, Christmas ornaments and more.
Although the Zoo is closed for normal operating hours, several live animals are still available for viewing around the zoo, including the now indoor giraffe exhibit.
This year's event features more variety in terms of food and drink options available to visitors, including donuts, popcorn, chili, sandwiches, specialty drinks for kids and spiked beverages for adults.
For the first time, attendees can also visit a pair of reindeer and stop by Santa's Wonderland to see Mr. and Mrs. Clause for free.
The Zoo will be open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday through December 23.
