Attempted kidnapping suspect identified

ELKHART, Ind. -- Elkhart Police say they have identified the suspect in the attempted kidnapping incident on December 6, 2019.
The incident happened in the 2600 block of Nappanee Street.
Police say the suspect has a documented, clinically diagnosed case of mental illness.
Police said they will be working with the family of the suspect to get him reassessed and any services needed.
