WORCESTER, Mass. -- While almost everything shuts down in a blizzard, some events just can't wait. A Massachusetts couple welcomed their blizzard baby.
This weekend the Massachusetts national guard and EMS crews helped deliver that baby.
The mother went into labor and called 911, but the crews couldn't get up the snowy hill to her home.
National Guard members were nearby with snowplows and Humvees, so they were able to get the mom.
"I guess there are people like New Year's babies and stuff like that," said Ericka Beuno, the mother. "I'm like, 'Oh, look, you're a New Year's baby!' Well, mine is a blizzard baby."
Baby and mom are both doing well at the hospital.
