BENTON HARBOR, Mich. -- Lake Michigan College (LMC) has received a donation of 100k from 1st Source Bank Foundation to support the development of the College's new athletics fields in the West Campus Athletics Complex.

The new athletics field will provide a modern, high-quality venue for LMC athletic programs while supporting recruitment, retention, and student engagement.

“1st Source Bank Foundation is a valued partner of Lake Michigan College, and this significant investment demonstrates their belief in our students and our vision for the future,” said Dr. Trevor Kubatzke, President of Lake Michigan College. “This gift will have a lasting impact on our student-athletes and the many community members who will benefit from this facility.”

The new athletics field is part of Lake Michigan College’s broader efforts to enhance student life, promote wellness, and provide spaces that foster teamwork, leadership, and school pride. In addition to serving LMC athletic teams, the field is expected to support campus events and community use.
