Bark For Life honoring four-legged companions

We have all heard of relay for life, but there's a new fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, and this one is all about the dog.

The first ever Bark For Life event kicked off today at Howard Park in South Bend, in addition to honoring cancer survivors and victims..

Today's event honored the four-legged friends who serve as faithful companions for those battling cancer. The dogs got their chance to show off today. There were contests for the waggiest tail, the loudest barker, and the most relay spirit for the owner and pet wearing the most purple, which is of course, the color for relay for life.
