Beacon Health laying off around 70 employees

Beacon Health is laying off around 70 employees because of increasing health care costs, according to our reporting partners at The Elkhart Truth.

Beacon emailed a letter to employees on Tuesday to inform them of the layoffs.

It said it was consolidating operations in corporate services, laundry and Beacon Health Ventures.

The layoffs will impact 1 percent of the company's 7,000 employees.
