Beacon Health System treating COVID-19 patient at Elkhart General Hospital

ELKHART, Ind. – Beacon Health System is treating a patient in isolation at Elkhart General Hospital who tested positive for COVID-19. The team is working to ensure all protocols are followed to ensure both patient and caregiver safety.

Other individuals have also tested positive for the Coronavirus through Beacon’s in-car screening and are doing well while recovering at home. They were tested after calling Beacon’s AnswerLine at 855-523-2225 and meeting the testing guidelines.

Beacon is operating a 24/7 Incident Command structure, where key staff members monitor patients, make sure everyone is following procedures, and generally being prepared for any additional cases.
