Goodwill ’Little Black Dress’ event raises funds for community...
SOUTH BEND, Ind – The seventh annual Bears in the air kicked off at South Bend International Airport.
The charity event supplies teddy bears for children at local hospitals.
The event received just over 100 teddy bears during their first year, but now with a goal of 2,000 teddy bears.
The event estimates roughly 500 people would attend the event this year.
“The real good thing about this program is to make our community a better place to live, work and play one person at a time whether it’s a child or a veteran or somebody who has a need,” South Bend International CEO Mike Daigle said.
The airport will continue to accept donations through December 17th.
