Third public meeting held on Portage Manor ecological study
BERRIEN SPRINGS, Mi.-- Police announced Tuesday that 51-year-old Jack Clement Lunneen of Berrien Springs is the man who resisted arrest and then died after they said he suffered a medical emergency.
Berries Springs-Oronoko Township Police were initially called out.
While on the phone with the caller, A Berrien County Sheriff's Deputy located Luneen in the parking of the 5th/3rd Bank off of North Cass Street and West Mars Street.
According to the press release, this happened just before 1:30 Monday morning. An hour later, he was declared dead at Lakeland Hospital after suffering a medical emergency.
Currently, there is still no official cause of death.
Both the Berrien Springs Officer and Sheriff's Deputy are placed on paid administrative leave pending a full investigation.
The investigation is now spearheaded by Michigan State Police.
