Bicyclists honor Hoosier law enforcement
INDIANAPOLIS, In. – Indiana law enforcement will be honored at the 16th annual Cops Cycling for Survivors ride around Indiana on Monday.
Opening ceremonies will be held at 8:30 a.m. at the Police and Fire Fighters Memorial in downtown Indianapolis.
The cyclists’ ride will last 13 days and cover approximately 1,000 miles around the perimeter of Indiana.
Cops Cycling for Survivors Foundation, Inc. annual bike ride consists of active and retired officers as well as family members, friends and any other supporters dedicated to raising funds and the awareness of sacrifices made by Indiana law enforcement.
There will additionally be a stationary ride fundraising event on Monument Circle on Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The nearly two week-long event is scheduled to end Saturday, July 22, 2017 at the Heroes of Public Safety Section at Crown Hill Cemetery.
The organization's President, Rich Crawford, will provide closing statements and all are welcome to attend.
