SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Parents and teachers are rallying behind Clay High School’s class of 2020 seniors with a billboard featuring all the students who are graduating.
In-person graduation for Clay High School was cancelled this year due to COVID-19 concerns, depriving outgoing seniors of the experience.
The cancellation prompted teachers and parents to put up the billboard, expressing their appreciation and support for seniors graduating in 2020.
“This was one of our creative options of letting the kids know we appreciate you, we salute you and we understand this is a very challenging way to finish,” Greg Harris said, a sponsor for the 2020 graduating class at Clay High School.
The billboard is located at the corner of Ironwood Road and State Road 23. It features 17 slides of 16 pictures of every senior at Clay High School.
