Bend, break, or bounce back?
The bitter cold sets in over Michiana this morning with wind chills sitting about five to ten below zero out the door. Cloudy skies will be common with a slight chance for lake effect snow showers lingering in southern Michigan today. Tonight, lows fall into the single digits as a more southward trend of lake effect leads snow into La Porte, St. Joseph, and Elkhart counties tomorrow morning. Accumulations won't be much more than an inch between today and tomorrow, but blowing snow will reduce visibility during the evening commute tonight and the morning drive tomorrow. Cloudy and quiet weather follows Tuesday night until more moderate snow envelops most of Michiana Wednesday and Thursday, bringing concerns about travel conditions in the middle of the week.
