SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The second annual Bone Frog Open- Irish Edition is in full swing at Notre Dame Stadium this Sunday and Monday, as money is raised for military personnel, veterans, and first responders.
Behind the event is the Uncommon Grit Foundation which supports 33 military and first responder centered nonprofit organizations in 14 states with the hope of one day reaching all 50.
"We work with different organizations that have programs in place for these men and women, and honestly, I think our goal is just to uplift those organizations and help as many of them as possible," says Kim McBurnett, President of the Uncommon Grit Foundation.
The foundation has raised over $710,000 since 2020.
On Monday, the golf tournament begins at Warren Golf Course.
Sunday's kickoff festivities included an auction and speeches from influential military veterans.
