Notre Dame football is one day closer to meeting the North Carolina Tarheels in Chapel Hill, N.C., and are one day closer to making a decision on who will start at quarterback.
Brian Kelly provided an update on his quarterback status Thursday, saying Brandon Wimbush practiced in full pads. Kelly said Wimbush is exactly where the team hoped he'd be, after discovering a mild foot sprain following the Miami of Ohio game.
While Wimbush will be active on Saturday, it will still be a gameday decision on whether he or Ian Book starts for the Fighting Irish.
