MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. – The Bremen Public Library is now requiring a face covering to enter following Marshall County’s mask mandate that takes effect July 20th. The Marshall County Health Department issued the order as part of Governor Eric Holcomb’s larger executive order.
Previously the library was only suggesting face coverings, where now it is a requirement.
“We certainly put health and safety as a priority here and so it wasn’t really a big transition for us to make. Going from necessarily a suggestion to a requirement now,” said Chris Scandling, Library Director.
Additionally, the library is increasing its cleaning practices, quarantining any materials returned for 72 hours, and limiting seating to follow social distancing guidelines.
“Just following all those guidelines that are put into place. We feel that if we’re being safe, if our patrons are being safe, we can combat the virus as best as possible,” said Scandling.
