Bridgman schools getting renovation treatment

BRIDGMAN, Mich. -- Bridgman schools will soon undergo some much needed renovations.

Voters passed two tax increases yesterday. The first is for classroom upgrades and new furniture. The other will improve the district's pool. No bond proposals passed during the last election.

The superintendent told ABC 57 the key was letting voters see the schools.

"We opened up our buildings, we let people come in and see it, we held a town hall meeting we just presented factual information and we had a lot of hard workers," says Bridgman School Superintendent Shane Peters.

No word yet on when the renovations will begin.
