Cloudy, breezy Wednesday morning; improvements this afternoon
BRISTOL, Ind. – A group of six workers at Chassix in Bristol became a little richer Thursday after claiming their winning $50,000 Powerball ticket that was set to expire Monday.
The group of employees who play together, have purchased every ticket from the 7-Eleven on Vistula Street, according to the Hoosier Lottery.
When the news came out that the ticket purchased in November was set to expire soon, one of workers, Jorge Dominguez, checked all of his tickets again with his daughter’s encouragement.
The Hoosier Lottery said each group member won $8,333 before taxes.
The group says the money comes just in time as the company will close its doors within the next few months.
