Busy night for first responders

ELKHART, Ind.-- It was a crazy night on the roads as three car accidents happened in Elkhart County overnight.

The first happened on State Line Road just before midnight Sunday. The driver drove off the road and struck a tree.

He broke his jaw and refused a chemical test.

The next accident happened just after 3 a.m. Sunday on County Road 50. The 20-year-old driver ran off the road and rolled his truck.

He was taken to the hospital complaining of arm pain.

The final wreck happened around 4:30 a.m. on County Road 52. Two cars hit at an intersection as one of them failed to stop.

The driver and passenger in one of the cars only complained of chest pain.

The driver in that vehicle was cited for failing to yield the right-of-way.
