Car plunges into freezing lake

WAYZATA, Minn. — Two people were pulled to safety after their car plunged into an icy lake.
An elderly woman and a male driver plunged into an icy Minnesota lake this past Saturday. The victims were submerged under freezing Lake Minnetonka water for almost an hour before help arrived.
A medical helicopter transported both victims to the hospital.
The woman later died and the man is in critical condition.
