Christmas gift outreach program available for Elkhart County residents

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- Guidance Ministries will be hosting two sign up opportunities for parents in need of assistance with getting presents under the tree this holiday season.

The group’s Christmas Outreach program will have sign ups available at their location, 216 North 2nd Street, on Monday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and on December 14 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Families must be residents of Elkhart County and must not be signed up with any other programs that are distributing gifts in order to be eligible for this outreach program.

Guidance Ministries listed several things that parents will need to bring with them while signing up which include:

• Photo ID’s and social security cards for all adults living in the home;
• Birth certificates and social security cards for all children ages zero to 17;
• Proof of address that is separate from the presented ID;
• Proof of current income.
