SOUTH BEND, Ind.--- The Salvation Army's Kroc Center begins its Christmas charity drives Saturday. The nonprofit is looking to assist more than 1,100 families this year.
The Christmas season begins with a toy drive at Walmart on Portage Ave., Ireland Road, and Indian Ridge Blvd. from 8:30 a.m. until 6:30 p.m.
At 11 a.m. the Kroc Center will have a celebration to kick off its Angel Tree campaign held at University Park Mall. Donors can pick up a tree tag online, at the Kroc Center, or the UP Mall. Gifts can be dropped off at the Kroc Center or the UP Mall from now until December 14th.
The Kroc Center will also be sending out Red Kettle Bell Ringers to raise money for families in need. You can sign up to volunteer by visiting their website.
