City of South Bend offering extra yard waste pickup in December

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The City of South Bend Solid Waste Division is offering one more chance for residents to get rid of their yard waste before the fall season wraps up.

During the week of December 11, the division will be available to pick up yard waste bins for residents on a call-in basis.

Between December 4 and 8, residents should call 311 to request an additional pickup for the following week. Yard waste will be picked up the same day as trash pickup.

As a reminder, residents should only put grass clippings, leaves, twigs and weeds in bins. Other materials, like animal waste, rocks, food waste, lumber and plastic bags should not be put in the bins.
