ST.JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind- -A comic book convention is happening on Jan.30, in South Bend starting at 10 a.m. at Comfort Suites on the corner of Cleveland and US 31.
If you’re on the hunt to look for a specific comic book, you might find it at the comic book convention in South Bend. Organizer Alan Morton said there are nine dealers selling thousands of comic books. The organizer himself is coming in with 80 boxes, filled with 300 comic books each.
The comic book convention has been happening in South Bend for years. Comic book enthusiasts have the option to choose from thousands of books, toys, collectible items, and even DVDs. The comic books range from the early 40s and 50s to modern-day comics.
This year the convention will be held in a larger space to make room for social distancing. All dealers will be spaced out and wearing face masks
“We do it several times a year. Last year we had the virus thing shut us down, but we’ve been given a bigger space than normal, so we can spread out. We do ask everybody to be like Spiderman and not like Superman and wear a mask,” Morton said.
Admission is free to the public and if you miss out on the convention, the next one is scheduled for April 10.
