Crash shuts down I-80 for several hours

LAKE COUNTY, Ind. -- A bad semi crash shutdown I-80 in Lake County.
The accident happened around 3 a.m..
Police say a semi switched lanes to avoid an unreleated traffic stop and was hit by another semi.
The driver of the semi was airlifeted to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Part of the road was clsoed for several hours while crews cleaned up the crash.
