Crews dispatched to South Bend house fire

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Crews were called to the scene of a house fire in South Bend.
The fire sparked just before 7 a.m. on Monticello Court. Firefighters tell us the a small fire broke out just above the fireplace in the living room.
Crews had to tear down the wall and mantle. Investigators believe a defective fireplace may be to blame.
As for the family living there, no one was seriously hurt.
