ELKHART, Ind. – It was an exciting event for thousands in the Hoosier state as President Donald Trump took center stage at North Side Middle School Thursday evening.
President Trump focused on the American Economy he said, “This is truly an exciting time for our Country. Jobs are booming. Remember I told you? Confidence is soaring and optimism is at the top of every chart. This is a great time for our country. A lot of things are happening everyday. We are unlocking new opportunities for prosperity and for peace. All of these changes are happening because America is being respected again.”
Trump said he was happy to be in Elkhart. “At 2.a.m. early this morning and by the way I got back to the White House at 4:30 a.m. and somebody said, ‘Oh that’s ok you can just cancel Indiana tonight.’ I said, you just don’t know the people of Indiana. I don’t have the courage to cancel," he added.
A large part of the campaign rally was focused on urging voters to support GOP candidates in the midterm elections.
The President departed Thursday night, greeted by hundreds of fans who lined the streets to say goodbye.
