Disagreement sends a person to the hospital

MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- A disagreement on Friday night between two individuals in a Mishawaka neighborhood turns violent.

Residents living on Elm Road heard gun shots coming from a house on their street. The gunshots were fired by a 52-year-old man who had been stabbed in the chest. Moments after witnesses heard gunshots, they heard sirens.

"It was crazy, we just started looking out the window, and we see a bunch of squad cars, and ambulances, and police," said William Dill, Resident.

The suspect who stabbed the victim fled from the scene, it is unknown whether the person who fled from the scene was struck by a bullet fired by the stab victim.

The individual who was stabbed was transported to Memorial Hospital in South Bend.
