SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Dismas House of Indiana is asking community members to sponsor former incarcerated residents as part of their new program.
The “Support a Resident’s Second Chance at Redemption Program” matches residents with community sponsors to experience the transition back into the community together.
Community members can sponsor a resident for six months or up to a full year.
Dismas House, which launched their residential re-entry program in 1986, helps residents get a second chance in the world after being incarcerated.
The organization has helped over 1,600 adults transition back into their community after being released from prison.
