STEVENSVILLE, Mich.—A new restaurant is now serving up Chicago-style and specialty hot dogs in southwestern Michigan.

DogSlinger officially opened for business on April 8 at 5664 Saint Joseph Avenue in Stevensville.

Owners Josh and Cori Hatheway always dreamed of owning their own local spot and while the idea started as a possible hot dog cart or stand, the right opportunity came along and the pair took a leap.

Not only does the menu include familiar fan-favorites like Chicago-style and chili hot dogs, a list of specialty dogs with ingredients like Flamin’ Hot Cheetos and tater tots make for unique additions.

Specialty dogs include the Buffalo Dog, Pizza Dog and Cowboy Dog just to name a few.

The menu also includes sausage, plant-based brats and sausages and sides like fries and tater tots.

DogSlinger is open Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and closed on Sunday and Monday.

The restaurant is closing early at 2 p.m. on April 23 to prepare for their grand opening festivities on April 24, which will include drawings for giveaways and some special treats.
