Dowagiac Ice Time Festival creates wintery fun with new activities
CASS COUNTY, Mich. – The annual Dowagiac Ice Time Festival kicked off for its 24th year in Dowagiac on Saturday.
The Greater Dowagiac Chamber of Commerce hosted the event with many outdoor activities for attendees to enjoy.
New action was brought to the event with the introduction of Human Foosball in a tournament fashion.
“The number of teams participating keeps growing - from our area, from Chicagoland and even as far away as Columbia and Germany, as our last year's winners were. They all come out to have fun with us in the snow, ice or sunshine - whatever the day brings,” said Kris Soenen, event chairman.
Ice carvings were lined up on Front Street before other activities like the Frozen Fish Toss, Chili Crawl and Sled Dog Meet and Greet brought residents together.
