Downtown Buchanan BUCHANAN, Mich. -- From November 15 to Saturday November 29, Downtown Buchanan will celebrate the sixteenth anniversary of White Saturday, an event first created in 2009 as the antidote to Black Friday mall madness.
Festivities kick-off in the morning at the Union Coffee House for breakfast and fall harvest vegetables, meats, and eggs from Hebron Farms. The Artisan Market at the Roti Roti Art Center opens at 10 A.M.
Later, head down Front Street for serious holiday shopping for books, art, antiques, and special treats. Lunch at Cafe Italiano at the Sweet Shop, McCoy Creek Tavern, or Creekside Cafe. Save room for dinner at Thistledown & Row, or Lehman’s Brewery & Farmhouse, and don’t forget to stop by the Stranger Wine Company for a tasting.
The day wraps up with the Chamber of Commerce Holiday Parade, kicking off from the east end of Front Street at 5 P.M. Immediately after the parade, head to the Buchanan Common for the Annual Lighting Ceremony.
White Saturday is sponsored by an informal group of Downtown business and property owners.
