EDWARDSBURG, Mich. -- The Edwardsburg Fire Department reports crews are responding to several reports of storm damage Friday afternoon following a tornado touchdown.

Fire officials say several trees are down and multiples homes suffered heavy damage.

Crews are actively working in the area to assess damage, clear roadways, and assist residents.

Residents are asked to avoid the area north of US 12 to allow emergency personnel and utility crews space to safely operate.

If you must travel, fire officials ask that you use extreme caution as roads may be blocked by debris, downed trees, or power lines.
