Elementary student to be disciplined for bringing knife to school
MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- A letter was sent home to parents of Liberty Elementary School students informing them a student had a knife at school.
Liberty Elementary School officials say a tip was received Wednesday morning about a student who may have a knife at school.
When the tip was investigated, it was found to be true, according to the letter by the principal.
Administrators say no threat was made by the student and the student did not threaten anyone.
According to a letter sent home to parents, the child is being disciplined.
The principal also reminded parents students cannot bring any type of weapon onto school property, even if it is a toy or look-alike.
