ELKHART, Ind. – The Center for Hospice Care in Elkhart hosted the Winter Wonderland Holiday Lights event at Wellfield Botanic Gardens in Elkhart on Friday.
Families and local residents got to enjoy a night full of visual splendor. The event featured decorated “Giving Trees” and professional light displays.
Local musicians performed on the Promenade Pathway and those who attended the event were treated to free hot cocoa.
This is the only time during the year when the Wellfield Botanic Gardens is elaborately decorated, so attendees were treated to an extra special experience.
One person said that the Giving Tree Project is a great way for people to get together after the Christmas holiday.
The event lasted from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
There will be another event on Saturday.
