ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- A male passenger was injured, and the driver arrested on Sunday, after a single vehicle crash near Bower Street and Riverside Drive.

The crash happened just after one a.m., and the initial investigation indicated a male driver hit the Sherman St. Bridge, leading to the crash. The injured passenger was transported and treated for a head wound sustained in the crash and is now in stable condition.

The 20-year-old driver was arrested and booked into the Elkhart County Jail on multiple charges including Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Operating While Intoxicated, and Minor Consuming Alcohol. 

This crash is still under investigation.
